I would like to sell my antique cream separater. Are they a dime a dozen or are they rare? I will do some research to find out how old it is. I also have a antique corn shucker. Do you think people are buying this kind of stuff. Let me know.

I have a royal blue #39 Hand Crank Separter; does anyone know how old this is, what brand it is, and can we find a new manufacturer's label for it?
Thanks for your comments.

I am interested in your cream separater. What kind is it and is it in good working order? Is there any rust?

Do you still have the corn shucker? I may know someone who is interested in it.

I have a big creamer used on farms, black with a big silver colored bowl very heavy and all parts are there. It is in great condition. I think it is a cream separator and someone told me they are about $800. I want to sell it. How much are they worth in the west??

Several cream separators were sold at auctions I was at last year, here in Minnesota. They did not bring very much. Usually less than $50. Now if it is a corn sheller you have thats another story. One that is in good shape would probably sell for over $300.

HI:
I just got a McCormick cream separator. I am having trouble getting the cream to be thick/rich enough. Any ideas? I do know that there is 2 screws at the top that can be turned in or out. I have tried that but still have thin cream. My neighbor has a DeLaval separator and her cream won't even pour out of the jar.
Thank you,
Vicki

Nancy, Would the cream separator that you have, happen to be a De Laval? I have a De Laval #9 that I am looking for parts for, Heaven only knows why. It is an electric model and my Dad and Mother purchased it in the early 1950's, new. Just curious and sentimental!! I have no idea what they are worth, I guess dealers in farm antiques could give you an idea to their worth. Does anyone know where or if parts are available for De Laval? Thank you, Virgil Ruhlman

I have an old book from somewhere.. on something called the Magnet cream separator. It even has recipes in it. I'm wondering where I can get info on this old style cream separator.

Thanks
