Does anyone know if Armstrong Tool is still in business and where they are located, or have they been "bought out" by another company? They had a lifetime warranty on their wrenches and socket sets. I have a 1/2 inch breaker bar, from one of their socket sets, which I broke and would like to get replaced. I got it over 30 years ago and it is the best breaker bar I ever used. It has a larger diameter handle than any I have seen (more comfortable), the handle has a 1/2 inch square hole in the end of it so it can be used as a long 1/2 inch drive extension, and it is longer than anything that I can find now. Hope someone knows: What happened to Armstrong Tools? Gordon

Gordon --

The Armstrong family sold their Armstrong Tool Company to Danaher a few years ago; Armstrong tools are still being manufactured and sold but the designs have changed somewhat over the years. I don't think the internally-broached hinge handle is still being made, but it might be possible to repair yours if it's a problem with the drive lug.

The factory sales office's address is Danaher Tool Group, Marketing Department, P O Box 3767, Lancaster, PA 17604-3767. You could also try this telephone number 1-800-866-5753.

Good luck; let us know what happens.

John
