Thanks a bunch... I've never bought on eBay but there's always a first time...

The Doringer cold saws are up 4K +
The ELLIS band saws are about $2500
The Cheapest American Made 7x12 Bandsaw is $1100
Chinese stuff is around $800..

Haven't looked at any Chinese cold saws for
comparison pricing yet.. will have to do so and
compare to what's on eBay to know what it's worth.

Maybe I'll see what happens with eBay. The cold saw would take up lots less room in the shop and be just fine for 99pct of what I need to do !

Thanks again.

Could have probably replaced the
motor but... being as I'm short on time
as well as money it would have turned
into another project !

Fred, I have seen a setup to run a 3 phase motor on single phase. Made up of old capacitors and relays and such out of a scrap yard. Is there a simple way to figure out what size capacitors and everything to use. I have told several people about this setup including some electricians and most don't believe it can be done but I have watched one work. Terry
