I have a JD 316 with one hydraulic control, and I am looking for someone who has a second hydraulic valve. A third one would also be nice if someone has a 420 they can take one out of

I bought a JD 325 back in August, and I found it to be a piece of junk the only thing that it is good for is mowing, and nothing else. I was told when I bought it that I could get a aftermarket loader so a few months after buying the mower I went to buy the loader. I found out that they stopped making the loader because the frame is too weak.

The JD 325 is junk in other ways too, belt driven trans. no hydraulic outlets in front. This 325 is nothing compared to the old 300 series, so I found some one who would trade their 316 for my 325. Their 316 had a tiller, front blade, and a powerflow. Even though the 316 is worth less in the book, it is still a much better tractor

I couldn't agree with you more on the new JD's-- I have a 1976 JD212 that is bulletproof, and use a blower, tiller, and front blade with it. I also operate an older 300 and 314. I would much rather have one of these and MAINTAIN IT PROPERLY versus trying to get by with todays junk. Try and rebuild something major on one of the new ones ( engine or trans) versus an old Kohler 12-16 horse. I really feel like you are money ahead with the older ones in terms of initial aquisition cost and overall long term maintenance costs. Around Minneapolis the price has steadily risen for these older tractors over the years. Not a lot, but they are slowly appreciating after bottoming out several years ago.
