This pump I have found and started to clean up appears to be cast aluminum, part of it is quite eaten away as if in acid or perhaps a fire. The only information I have been able to get off of it so far is the name CESSNA cast into the housing in two places. Could this be an airplane hydraulic pump? Did Cessna make their own pumps? And a related question...how would I go about guestimating the capacity of this pump? I suppose I could prime it and measure how much oil moves per revolution when turned by hand.

Thanks

Kim

Cessna Hydraulics is part of the company that makes the airplane but that where the simularity ends. Cessna Hydraulics made a full line hydraulic product, valves, cylinders, pumps, motors. Used very extensively in the Ag industry which includes lawn mowing industry and the forestry industry as well. No doubt some of the product found there way on airplanes but the 2 companies are separate divisions. One of the biggest distributors is Spencer in Seattle Washington. There is another called Graham. I will warn you this, that Cessna used to be very propriatary. which forced many customers back to the dealer for parts and units and to pay very high prices. the Model number will be on the side of the mounting flange and gear pumps will be 5 digits follewed by 3 letters. (ie 24308 LAD) usually starting with a 24 or 25. Piston pumps usually start with a 42 or 44 contact me I maybe able to help

I'm looking for a Cessna gear pump that has one intake and two pressure outputs the numbers on the pump are as follows 1D38RB 200 100LGA NIJ0045. The pump has a splined shaft that measures 5/8" and has 10 teeth. The pump came off from a 1984 Leyland 804 (230 CID) 4x4 Tractor and I sure could use some help. thank you

I have Cessna pump on my Massey haybine, with Cessna cylinders on the reel lift arms. I think these were made by Cessna in Kansas or somewhere, recall seeing the address in the manual for my 315 Woods mower for service parts on some models. Similar to landing gear parts, just not aircraft quality, I wouldn't think. Also took a little Cessna cylinder off a gate on a spreader once and used it for the tier on a Hesston baler. These are currently popular servicable parts. Tom S.
