I recently purchased an old TO-30 Ferguson tractor
a 1953, and was wondering what kind of engine oil
to put in it, I am assuming 30 wt. oil, and also what kind of hydraulic oil or
transmition oil to put in it. Also where is the
place to put the hydaulic oil in, we can not find it. Thanks

My 1964 John Deere Operator's manual suggests using a 10w-30 in both the engine, transmission (uses the same oil for hydraulic functions) and PTO. As an alternative, it says you may use Hydraulic Oil in the transmission. I would suspect you could use either one in your MF tranny. John

Floyd, 30 or 10w-30 oil will be Ok in the engine.

In the transmission, you need to use hytrans because the hydraulics use the oil in the transmision as it's working fluid (which is why you can't find a place to put the hydraulic oil).

Good Luck,

Ted

: : I have a customer who had purchased 1 unit electronic folklift: sugico model: sri-20-2-33 but he does not know what kind of hydraulic oil should be used in the up down folklift hydraulic system, while the spare parts manual indicates that sae10 should be used.
is it only concerned with viscosity, single
grade 10 ?

Thanks and regards
