I agree with all the follow ups. On my 1945 "B' it was a leaking old float. I tried to repair the old float and never could get all the pin holes sealed. I invested a about 20 busks with the Deere house for a new flat and never had any more problems. Good luck : : The float on an allis has a small sheetmetal tab right at the hinge. You may have one or not. If you do, you may be able to increase the bend raising the sitting position of the float so that it may not stick. My float stuck once. I rebuilt the carb and it hasn't happened again yet. : : : We have a 1948 John Deere B that ever since we can remember, the float sticks on the carb and leaks into the crankcase. it has happend to my Grandpa, Dad , and me. PLEASE HELP! : :: You should have a DTLX-34 carb. The float setting should be one-half (1/2) inch from the bottom of the bowl. Check the float to see if it leaks (some have this problem). This will keep the fuel ON all of the time. You may also need a new needle valve or o-rings, whichever it uses. Finally, the most important thing that the owners manual states, is that you should shut OFF the fuel supply when you are finished with the tractor. Good luck!
