Does anyone know what a Clod Buster is? I purchased a tractor and this is one of the implements that come with the deal. I have not seen it and the description was very unclear.

Hi . a clod buster is pulled over a freashly plowed field. it breaks up the bigger chunks before discing .round wheels or drums with manys picks on it.spicks are about 6 to8 inches long Bill

THE CLOD BUSTER WAS USED DIRECTLY BEHIND THE PLOW WHEN YOU FINISHED PLOWING YOU STARTED TO PLANT IT WAS KNOWN AS MINIUM TILL IT WAS DONE A LOT FROM 1950 TO 1970 TO PLANT CORN AND DRY BEANS BEFORE A LOT OF SPRAYING FOR WEEDS CAME IN THE WEED SEED WAS SLOW TO SPROUT ON THE FRESH PLOWED SOIL AND THAT WAY THE CROP WAS UP LONG BEFORE THE WEEDS AND YOU HAD NO FITTING OF THE SOIL THE CLOD BUSTERS I HAVE USED WERE 3foot or 4foot wide THEY PULLED AS HARD AS A ERTRA BOTTOM THEY HAD 2 GANGS OF ROLLERS SET AT OFF SET ANGLES TO EACH OTHER 6 INCHES APART WITH 6 INCH BLADES FOUR BLADE STAR CLUSTER IF THE WERE ATTACHED TO THE PLOW THEY WOULD WEAR OUT THE LAND SIDES OF THE PLOW BUT ONE THING FOR SURE THEY SURE DONE A NICE JOB OF FITTING THE SOIL AND YOU HAD NO COMPACTION
