Gaskets in 7-inch flat lens headlights are shot. Any suggestions on source or making my own? Have tried the blue stuff but it shows through the lens. Old ones appear to have been made of cork. Thanks for any assistance.

You can get cork gasket material at True Value, CT,Or other hardware stores in various thicknesses. Get a good sharp knife and a suitable round object (can, jar lid ect) And you can make your own. Or you can invest in a gasket cutter if you have enough need of one. Hope this helps.

Can't help ya on the cork, but I've made some pretty tiny gaskets out of rubber. Rubber gasket stock in round, square or rectangular cross-section of various dimensions is available. Cut it to length, glue the ends together with super glue, and viola! a round gasket.

Try McMasters or Graingers, if you think this might work for ya.

I have used clothes line rope that was cut to size and fitted in the groove in the bezel. Bob
