Anybody have any ideas where I can find parts for an older Craftsman metal lathe P/N 109.21270. Sears has told me that parts are not available through them, manufacturer is no longer in business. Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

What are you looking for?

I have two 109 series lathes from which I built one, and have some spares.

Some parts may still be available from Herman (who has moved to South Carolina from Florida) and Boegeman (Arizona).

I visited Boegeman earlier this week and obtained #0 MT live and dead centers (latter was carbide tipped).

Some parts from the Atlas 6" lathes (Clausing) will fit, others from Sherline can be adapted.

Bearings / bushings / oilers / oil caps can be found many places.

My father has a Sears Craftsman metal lathe that is approximately 50 plus years old. He is looking for a copy of an owners manual as it needs some assembly.
The model number is 109.21270.
Any information on where we can get a manual would be appreciated,

Gary

Gary,

I came across the file aadocs.zip while looking for information on the Craftsman lathes. It has the manual and some drawings. You can find the file at the following URL:

I have a 1941 craftsman metal lathe, and I am missing the instruction manual. At this moment, it is in many boxes, and I am trying to assemble it. Any information would be greatly appreciated
