Looking for a nutdriver type bit to fit my cordless drill that will fit a square nut. A 9/16 open end wrench fits, but I'm not particularly fond of the idea of tightening all the nuts on my new shed by hand, there's only 6,700 of them.

Craftsman has the 8 point sockets. Sounds like you'll need the lifetime guarrantee!!!!

Most tool manf. also have 8 pt. sockets that are made to fit 9/16 nuts. Good luck. Moye

Wolfman, Look for a 11/16" 12-point socket that will fit over the 9/16" square nut. Use a 1/4" or 3/8" square drive to 1/4" hex adapter for drill. You can find these in hardware stores in the same area as the nutdriver bits. Good luck! 6,699, 6,698, 6,697.....

Somebody on another site suggested 17mm for a tighter fit and getting an adapter for the drill. If the bolts needed to be super tight I'd get an impact to do this, but they'll get enough torque off the 18V DeWalt. When I get the film developed from this past weekend, I'll post a pic over here as well as on Tales, so youse guys can see what I'm talking about as far as size of shed and number of bolts. Thanks!!!!

You may not know this but I will give it a shot. How far back does the square nut go and when did they stop using it? any info. would be helpful. Thanks! Chayne
