I don't have a high pressure washer. What else would cut the grease, diesel and collected dirt off the motor, etc. where fuel has spilled during fueling.

I use a spray gun I got for under $10 at Harbor Freight. It works with a compressor and has a pickup hose for liquid. I use (for THICK grease) straight Simple Green out of the bottle. Don't breath the mist! I puked for an hour after making that stupid mistake; amused all the kids & dogs in the area.

The spray gun isn't too high quality. The control valves are more or less ceremonial (they leak through) but it gets the job done.

I'm using scrapers, kerosene, wire brushes, dental picks (!) and elbow grease on my Farmall B for that job. Final degrease with mineral spirits to cut the kerosene before primer.

Squirt it with Gunk Engine Degreaser, let it soak for a few minutes, rinse with hose. Repeat as necessary.

Oven cleaner works pretty well too.

Be careful: oven cleaner makes a very good paint remover, also!

You got that right! But then, that was the idea when I was using it.

Don't forget about plain old soap and hot water, especially to take off any residue left after using the nastier stuff. Lestoil isn't a bad choice. I have used some green stuff that I found in the auto section of Walmart, and it works pretty good as well.
