Hi John (and others interested). I had a idea while reading your post on making an air compressor from a motor. Make "T" shaped piece of pipe with threads on the bottom vertical end of the "T" that will screw into the sparkplug hole. Then put two in line check valves on each end of the horizontal part of the "T". Instal these so that one valve lets air in only and the other out only. The valve that lets air in will open on the down piston stroke by suction. On the up stroke air will go out the other valve and into a storage tank. Make four of these, one for each cylinder. The other only other thing you would have to do is remove the cam so that the intake and exhast valves remain shut. Hope this helps. A.Kezar

Don't forget to hook up a filter to the intake lines. You'll make a mess of the engine. Bill.
