does anybody know anything about removing cemented in fence posts and removing them using a chain and old rim I've ben told it works----anybody know??

I have removed many by using a "farm jack". If there is nothing protruding from the post then drive in a heavy nail. All you need to do is position the jack under the nail and lift her out. Once the cement breaks free somewhat it is very

Easiest way is hydraulics but assuming you don't have any lift... Just a thought, I've never tried it. If you double wrap chain and cinch tobase of post and hook it. Then stand rim up against the post and run chain up and over the center of the rim and fasten the other end of chain to your tractor and pull... well the rim will likely roll away. How about doing all that and also tying rim to post will rim then act as a pivot ? Thats the best I can do.

Paul---you were absolutly correct!!! I was just trying to see if anybody out there could answer the question and YOU sure did----but you don't have to tie the rim to the post---I've done it a lot of times thanks Jim
