Does anyone know what the DOT requirements are to pull a 24 foot gooseneck? I will be using it for my excavating business and to haul tractors cross country. I know that I cant get away with a farm tag even though I have a farm being its for business use also. It seems like everyone tells me something different and I want some sure information because I want to comply 100% with the laws. I have a 3/4 ton Ford pickup.

I would call three offices (if there are that many in your local)of the Highway Patrol or the authorities having jurisdiction over trucks in your state, and then average the three answers that you get "straight from the horses mouth".
Then I would call your state DOT office and ask them too. No matter what they tell you or how you hear it, you are responsible for knowing the laws of each state you operate in..
Good luck!
