I am tired of my lincolin buz box welder. I asked the Miller sales person what type of welder would fit my needs. I work both with sheet metal and heavier steel. He recommended the Syncrowave 180 SD. This is a AC/DC Tig/Stick. Anybody have any suggestions. Thanks Gene

In 1990 I bought a Hobart TR250. That's 250 amps
DC and 315 amps AC. After running the damn thing
16 hours a day for nearly 10 years, the only thing
that's gone wrong is that I changed the rheostat
once in 1994. That's pretty good in my book.

What about a small Mig??, If you are indoors you can't beat a mig. for sheet metal.
How heavy do you go? 140 amp good for 1/8- 3/16". [110-volt] Thicker steel you would have
to go to a 220 volt 175 to 250 amp. Then you can even run gas shielded flux cor wire.
Unlimited thickness fast,strong,pretty .
Lincoln or Miller.
