i just want know what kind of schools you went too, to become a nascar mechanic. I'm 16 and this is what i want to do for life, I'v read lots of books about this. So if you could send me some stuff, I thank you very much.

First..finish your education. Snap On man was kinda abrupt but made a valid point. You won't get hired if you can't communicate properly in todays world. Next step would be move to North Carolina where most of the shops are. Then start knocking on doors and take any job you can get. Washing the trucks, sweeping the floors, taking out the trash...anything that will get you in a uniform and on the payroll.

After your on...then show them how hard a worker you are and what skills you have. If you have the right stuff and are persistant you will build a reputation and they will come to you. Theres no short cuts..its all hard work, ability, and attitude.

Your absolutely right. Sometimes the best way to get through to the young guys is to take them down a notch. I find they listen better when they realize that they don't know it all. I admit that I get carried away sometimes, I apologize.
