Just picked up a portable welder as listed above. Does anyone know a source of manuals, etc. for above? There is no motor to power it, but I have a Pinto 2300 cc motor that is almost new.. Would that have enough power to run this beast?

There is what looks like a 110 v. plug, on the side of the connection box. The welder says 40 volts on the name tag.Could this actually be a 110 volt output? What kind of wattage would it put out? (Possible Y2K generator set here?????)
Thanks for your responses!

Chances are it has set so long it has lost it's polarity. Take a 12 Volt battery and re polarize
your terminals.

sounds like sae300? 40 v.@300amp output You need about 50hp at a governed 1800 rpm outlet on side 100V.DC only use only for tools that are rated for DC power thay are a good welder
