I just bought a Devilbiss 1.5HP air compressor wih a 3 gallon tank. It delivers 4.0 SCFM @ 90psi and 2.9 at 90psi I mainly want to use for tire pressure on my cars and M/C. I question is can I run an impact wrench with it to rotate tires? Maybe I should have bought the one for a $100.00 more. If I can only use it for tires that is fine though, I think it is a real pain in the butt to get air at stations. Thanks, Mark

I BOUGHT A 5 H.P. AIR COMPRESSOR WITH A 30 GAL. TANK AND NOTICED A LOT OF MOISTURE COMING OUT OF THE AIR HOSE. I WANT TO PUT A FILTER/REGULATOR/AND OILER ON THE COMPRESSOR BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT SIZE TO USE LIKE 1/4, 3/8 OR 1/2. ANY HELP WOULD HELP ME.

THANKS

If your compressor puts out enough p.s.i.,you can use it to run air tools. The secret is to have a large supply tank. The compressor will just have to run a while to fill it.

I have a Sears 1hp, and use it for similar reasons you stated. I have an air ratchet that works ok for twisting bolts, but you have to start them by hand first. Still saves time and effort, but isn't the same as what a bigger unit would do. I also have an impact wrench that doesn't work very well with 1hp.

This size machine pumps up tires real well. It paints real well. It sand blasts teenie stuff real well. Air ratchets get an ok. Impact and heavy sandblasting, nope.

IT will work, just a little slower.
