got a couple fish eyes in my newly sprayed Red
acrylic enamal paint. Whats the best way to resolve this. I used hardener if that matters any. Sure would appreciate a few good suggestions. Don't now very much about painting, but am learning alot. Bought a filter from graingers yesterday. I think a little water got in somewhere. Now just need to fix the bummer of
a paint job I already have done.
Thanks

Jim

Jim, You should get some fisheye remover from your paint supplier and put it in your paint also always use wax and grease remover before you start any paint work. Grinding a painted surface that that had silicone wax in it will be put in the air and resettle on surfaces to be painted and this will result in fisheye. Bob

I agree with Bob, Anything with silicones in it will cause fish eyes, including diesel smoke so spend the extra bucks and put in a shot per cupful of color. Also if you have a really bad spot of fish eyes the best thing I've found to do is immediately wash the piece clean with reducer and start over even if it means waiting over nite. I've never had any satisfactory luck by leatting it dry and sanding it and recoating.
