I am about to shell out too much money to have my dump trucks body sandblasted and painted. I would like to put some covering on the underside of the bed to prevent sand from chipping the paint and letting rust start. Any ideas of what I can put on? I have heard of sprayable bed liners and am considering that. Thanks.

Have used a product called coal tar epoxy. It came in black and sort of a maroon color.5 gal.buckets. We used it as a brush on coating for the beds of pick-ups.I think it main use was as a steel coating. It will adhere to a painted surface. The stuff is TOUGH! Found it in a marine supply store here on Long Island,NY. It would be a lot cheaper than Rhino coating.Maybe even the same? Good Luck. e-mail me if you can't find it.I'll see if it's still avail.

Paint is out now that they use on township trucks,it is salt resistant, but its not cheap.Im not sure how it would hold up to sand blast though.Rhino linnings need clean metal to work,if the lining ever gets damaged rust will have bare metal to work on.Cheap way out just undercoat the box after the sandblast.
