Has anybody had experience with the Henrob torch. I bought one last summer and cannot get it to burn properly. The book says during set-up that 4 psi of acetylene wide open w/no. 3 tip will burn clean. Can't get this to happen. Trouble-shoot says improper pressure. They claim this should happen w/o oxygen. When I add oxygen it backfires and burns in the tip. I have got it to operate with small tip and low settings, but also will not cut w/ cutting set-up. Co. tech line will not return calls. any ideas??

I just received the henrob 2000 the other day I cannot get it to cut clean. The molten metal flows back into the kerf. I tried to call the person I bought it from, located in Florida, but as of this date he has not retured by call.

The instructions say that the oxygen delivery tip, (the copper tip) should be 1/16" from the surface of the metal. If you hold it higher it will try to melt itself back together and a lot of slag will form. Try schooting it across the surface, touch to 1/16" off the surface. It will cut great! Remember, for 1" metal, turn oxygen pressure up to 28 lbs, for 1/2" metal, 14 to 15 lbs, 1/4" 7 to 8 lbs.
