What are the advantages of a gravity feed paint gun? Can they be used at lower air pressure than a conventional type gun? I paint a lot of small implement parts and when I hang them up , my gun blows the part all over. I repainted with a spray can and that seemed to work better than the gun because of less pressure.

My buddy does body work and he said some of the guns are lighter because they use plastic canisters and you also don't have that little dab of paint left in the bottom that will cause it to spatter and spit.

You can get a High VolumeLow Pressure (HVLP) gun that does a fine job and has little overspray b'cause of the very low air pressure it puts out. Stop in at a body shop and ask about them, only downfall I know of is they are a little high priced.
