Any opinions on those PM tools that walmart sells? Is their quality up to snuff? I noticed they have a Lifetime Guarantee...thought they might make a good set to put on the tractor.

we have used them for years and they have always replaced any broken tool. but now we are having a hard tim, getting a full address with a box # to send them to. if you break a bit on a screw driver you cannot find them any place because they have to have the side ball bearing on them to hold them in the shaft of the driver.does any one have a new address that you can post?

I have not bought many Popular Mechanic tools, guess I am sort of a snob. The ones I have work well. The best part is the local WalMart store is open 24 hours, and I can buy a tool at 3 a.m.

Maybe this is a sad commentary on the quality of tools I buy, but the best Phillips screw driver I've ever owned is a Popular Mechanic brand.

I have some small (4") pliers & such, also a coping saw from wal-mart Pop. Mech name on it, they seem to work fine! some of the product line I wouldn't want, but some look decent for the price!!

I have a set of 1/2" drive metric sockets in my road box for 2 years & have been happy with them. I use S/K drive tools on them.

had to have some Torx bits for my mom's front brakes. Figured with the lifetime warrenty, might as well. Not a bad price 9.95 (8 on a plastic rack) 3/8" drive. Might go back for the 40 dollar set.
