working on a 4 cly. flathead have 3 stuck valves and a piston or two have got the 4th valve unstuck been spraying 3 to 4 times a day since x-mass.

What kind of penetrating oil do you use ?

Can i put heat to the head of the valve with a mapp torch to get oil to the valve guides?

My favorite is Liquid Wrench WITH TEFLON. Regular Liquid Wrench isn't worth a darn. I've used PB Blaster, Kroil and others with good results. The Liquid Wrench WITH TEFLON is better, imo. It's no better at breaking free a frozen fastener then PB Blaster is. But once the fastener has broken free, it far exceedes everything at keeping it going, instead of wringing it off once the threads jam with rust particles.

PB Blaster. It's only about 2 bucks a can in case lots from the distributors, and it works better than the expensive ones like Kroil or Gibbs.

My father bought a case of "Gibbs" (Penetrating oil) at an antique engine show. Boy that stuff works beautiful, I think they have a website, do a search, I would definitly look in "Gibbs"!!!!! I use it before anything else, including PB blaster and Kroil.

I found their website it is: "www.gibbasize.com" They do not mention the price anywhere, so it must be expensive. I have never heard of Gibbs, but wouldn't mind trying it if I could buy one can. Maybe you get what you pay for..... Gordy MN
P.S. Right now I use PB blaster.
