In todays newspaper, Quality Farm and Fleet is closing all 153 stores. They have sold out to Tractor supply. Tractor Supply will reopen 85 of the stores. Gift certificates will not be honored

Good ridance to bad rubish. CT was a lousy store, and became even worse with they became QFF.

I just went to our local store this morning. Everything is marked down and big 'Store Closing Sale' signs are everywhere. I got a bunch of carb kits and other tractor parts for 20-30 percent off. Snagged some more floor jacks too. The nearest TSC is 35 miles away. That fine, most of regular tractors parts I order from Carter & Gruenwald anyhow. -BTD

In what newspaper is that story? In Des Moines, Iowa, our Statewide paper had no notice of it and since Quality sunk Central Tractor along with themselves, I'm interested in this. About 15 years ago, there was a TSC store on the outskirts of Des Moines and Central Tractor caused them to fold up in this area. Central tractor was the only place in this area(other than dealerships) that you could get parts for vintage equipment.

The same or a similar story was in the Wooster, Ohio newspaper recently. Told about a poor fellow who received $85 from his family in QFF gift certificates, loaded up his cart with stuff he wanted and was told his certificates were no good at the cash register. I never did like them very well!
