I burn oil in our wood stove by dripping the oil on the fire, once the oil gets going it will burn very hot and a couple small logs will burn all day. I used an old #100 lp tank for my oil tank, stood it upside down and brazed a 2" pipe nipple in the top with a screw on cap. I still use the original lp valve to regulate the oil flow. If you want send me an email and I'll send you some pictures.

Hey Koop, a friend put a 50 gal. drum up on the wall about 6 feet and well away from his stove. His stove is a barrel stove. He ran a pipe into the small bung hole in his supply barrel with a 3/4" gate valve. He then ran the pipe into the top of his stove.(I think he drilled a hole and just ran the pipe through. He adjusts the oil flow according to heating need. He uses wood in his stove in conjunction with the oil. It works really well. Don't forget to turn the oil off when you leave the shop. Good luck.
