just bought a 9n had to unstick the valves; put new points;plugs;condensor;wires. cleaned out the carb. the darn thing will not run? i have fire at all the plugs tried some either in the carb and still does not even cough have 90 lbs of commpression at each cyc. any ideas would be appr.

To really check your ignition, take an old plug and bend the electrode back. Your ignition should fire across a 5 mm (about .200") gap. The pressure in the engine will reduce the amount of gap it will jump, so must be at least this amount outside the engine.

Firing order is 1-2-4-3.
Check that you have it in time. # 1 piston at top-dead-center and then see if the rotor is pointing to number one one the distributor cap. Are your spark plugs wet from gas?? If there are not clean the carb again. If you shot it with either is should have run off of that until it was gone..... so I would check the timing first. steve
