Is it hard to learn to weld with wire feed?

Ok, I can weld good enough with an arch welder to make or fix things, but by no means am I proficient at it. I bought a "Hobart Handler 180" in '05, and have never even used it. i am considering selling it because I really don't know how to weld with a wire feed. Sad i know, but I have never had to use one. Before I sell it I am wondering if I should set it up and try it and see if I can learn it well enough to justify keeping it. If not, I think I am better off leaving it be and selling as "never used" which it hasn't, in fact it has not even been set up since being taken out of the box. Can some one fill me in on the ease of learning? It is a gas or gas less model. I'm 38 and still kinda dumb in area's!
