Has anyone ever tried to burn accorns in a pellet stove??? If the humidity was lowered it sounds reasonable and I have a lot of them just laying on the ground. Just a thought.

They will burn but I do not think you will be able to auger them.. I use corn cob soaked in methyl hydrate and acorns ( when I have them ) to start the fire in my corn stoves. They do make a hot flame..
