Anyone know of a website that tells about different metals? Like composition and welding processes for different metals. And differences in strength, wearability, etc.

Check out www.anvilfire.com Its a blacksmithing web site, but deals with all sorts of metal related info. Go to the "Guru" page. You can ask questions and get answers related to welding, heat treating, types of metal etc. Its a very good site! Good luck!
