Plastic buckets stuck together

Have a couple dozen plastic buckets in two stacks that I can"t get apart. Any BTDT or suggestions?

Take a rubber mallet and tap on the edge of the bottom one.Don't hit it hard ,just tap.Old hod carriers trick from an old hod carrier. Good luck.

Fill the space between them with water. It helps to lift the top bucket, and makes the bottom one heaver so you can lift the top one. Works good on stuck trash cans.

Between each stuck bucket, drill a small hole in the side, under the top bucket. Gradually trickle about 100 grains of black powder down. Then using cannon fuse, light the powder. you can do this individually or using electric blasting caps, set the whole stack off at once.

I've never actually done this, but it ought to be fun.

Hendrik and BW got the right idea.. and hang them upside down during this amneuver.. let gravity be your friend.

BTDT my self. What I did was take a hammer and tap on each of them till they popped loose. Tap them down/off

Blow compressed air between the buckets. That's how cup shaped, stacked products are separated in manufacturing processes. Works like a charm.

I agree with this one and would also tell you this. Take a trash can and fill it with hot water. Dip the bottom of the stack in and as the buckets heat they will come apart. I have a hot and cold faucet on my house outside so I would just use the hose with hot water. Have fun.

I saw a guy use an empty quart oil bottle (lid on tight) between each bucket. cheaper than a tennis ball.
