Teddy's days on this earth are numbered...

When ol' Teddy gets to the other side and meets his fate I can't help but wonder if he won't spend eternity with his head being held underwater... and to his own horror come to realize that the hands around his throat holding him under happen belong to Mary Jo Kopechne

I would never wish ill on anyone, no matter how much I dislike their ideas. I pray that he beats this and completely retires from public life. I hope a true conservative gets his senate seat, but am not holding my breath. I dont think there are too many left out there.

Keep your powder dry!!

I have NEVER had ANY use for ANY of the Kennedys, but as to your statement, I absolutely agree. I lost an adult daughter to cancer, therefore, I'd not wish it on ANYONE. This includes even the Clintons, whom I despise more than anyone living on this planet. Mr. Bob

I have disliked Chappaquidick Ted (that's where he murdered Mary Jo Kapeckne)forever. But I wouldn't wish this death on anyone.

While I don't really wish ill health on anyone it does finally seem as though we might get rid of this guy after his "term for life" The news stations have been raving about his great career and how he had his "hand" in about all the legislation past over the years. That certainly helps explain part of the reason this country is in such sad shape.

Now I'm no fan of Ted Kennedy....but....a brain tumor caused by too much booze? Maybe you oughta contact the appropriate members of the medical community with your new hypothesis. Might be they weren't aware of the link here before...

Yes, for several reasons. Firstly, cancer is a unique form of life, which gets it's oxygen from sugar. Alcohols are made from sugars, and usually contain lots of it in the mixture.
Secondly, alcohol kills brane cells if you have a lot of it, and that can add to swelling which you already don't have room for. Lastly, alcohol is an acid, and this is not good for anything. Remember there is a new procedure where they can cross two beams and burn the tumor inside your head without operating. Good luck. Do not eat fats, or sugars, no white anything like pasta, breads, hog meat, red meat, bird fats, potatoes, rice, u know... all the good stuff. Just have fruit for breakfast, and then mostly vegitables for the other meals, only have fish, foul, or lamb if you take meats. You do need some meats. Beef juice is ok. (it is alkaline vs the meat is acidic). Make your body alkaline, get a book called Alkalize or Die. Take care. Oh and pray too. THere is spiritual, mental, and physical healing, so do all three.

I'll agree with one of your statements that "cancer is a unique form of life".

As for the rest, I dunno. My own personal belief, formed through my own experiences with friends and relations that have had cancer, is that cancer is just a VERY random thing...if it's in the cards for ya you'll get it, if it's not, you won't.

We all know of people who've smoked like chimneys and/or drank like fish and lived long natural lives and died of old age. And by the same token, for me anyway, I know of lots of people who DIDN'T smoke or drink who died of cancer. From what I've seen, cancer seems to be more hereditary than anything else.

Far as the heavy drinkin' killing brain cells go, I recently read a new study on the subject that showed it doesn't actually kill them. It DOES affect them in a manner that results in memory loss and other symptoms, but it doesn't actually kill them...it went on to say that a long-term drinker who had been affected by this condition and then quit drinking would eventually regain the memory capabilities and other capabilities that had been affected by the heavy alchohol intake.

As for the "don't eat this, don't eat that"....I say hogwash. My grandad's 95 and still going strong and has eaten that stuff all his life. Granted, he doesn't smoke and seldom ever drank....who knows...I think it just goes back to my theory that it's all just random.

now that is just too bad. The girl he drowned in his car while smashed would probably trade places with him if she had a choice right now.

As much as I've been at odds with the man over the years, I can't help but feel for him. For someone of his stature a sudden, massive, heart attack would seem more appropriate.

Actually, I was in his office in DC last fall, but I didn't see him, if he was there. Our daughter lives in DC and has a friend who works for Kennedy. The friend arranged for one of Kennedy's interns to give us a private tour of the Capitol.

He's in a tough spot right there, not something most people would wish on anyone, our new governor has glaucoma and is dealing with some serious issues, ironically, I do know the person next who is in command, don't think that will happen, but that would be interesting if it did.

That's why I wear my tinfoil hat whilst drinking. But seriously, I wasn't aware there is a link between drinking and brain tumors.

Bottoms up!

If your doctor tells you to stop smoking, then stop smoking. If he tells you to stop drinking, get a new Doctor.
