guido-trucker- leland- other guys

On this 0ld IHC Paystar 5000 there is a little cannister under the hood. Maybe 14 inches high and a dia.of about 5-6 inches. It has a 4-5 inch long dipstick and a note on the cannister to change the filter every year.
It has a big hose going to the air pump--I think--
What is it and what kind of oil does it use????
Thanks for any help.
len

I agree with power steering and it takes motor oil.

Here is a Untitled Url link to a place you can get Reprint manuals for that paystar.
Parts, Owners and Service Manuals.
There is a big list and I saw 78 Paystars covered.

You would probably benefit a lot from these and or the people who work on and run your paystar.
They have some engine Manuals too.

sounds like the power steering tank and uses what ever engine oil you use because the power steering pump runs off the front timing gear and if the seal goes the oil will end up in the engine all me 5000 paystars have Cummings engines and it tell you right on the canister to use engine oil
