I meant to add this last time here in south GA not only are the bees a big problem but so are the woodpeckers that eat the larva in the nest. last year the large woodpeckers ( about 10 to 12 inches tall) like to have destroyed my place up getting to the larva, before I realized what was going on. I guess the one good thing I have seen a lot less bees this year. The picture also Questions the statement that painting the wood helps deter the bees. Larry

Most bees go to bed in the evening....watch to see if they do...then use a good calking....fill the holes and smooth them over, ready to paint.....

Maybe someone on the ground with a good flashlite...Don
