I was wondering about these electcic pumps. I will be using for spot spraying grass weeds brush. How well do they hold up and can I use 24D, roundup brush killer etc. in the pumps. I have a roller pump on my cub but it seems to need rebuilt or replaced every 2 or 3 years? Thanks Bill

Ditto what Eric in IL said. I have a 15 gallon sprayer with a boom that bungee cords on the back rack. plug it in the aux. electrical outlet and go. I have had mine 10-12 years and it has always worked like a champ. I don't remember what brand it is but it is whatever TSC was selling at the time.

Last week,I hooked my Shurflow electric pump back up, after it sat outside unused for 8 years, and it worked fine! Did a good job with no trouble. Pete

Just a thought if it's a sprayer that sits on the back rack of the atv the added weight becomes a problem for stearing and makes the rear sag alot over time.

I have a friend who had this problem with his Polaris , but it worked well.

I ended up pulling the factory shock and coil spring and replacing it with a air shock off a car. I took the stock shock to the auto parts store to find a set of air shocks that were close in size .

I had to spin up some bushings on a lathe at work to bolt it in but it rides the same as the factory shock and with a little more air handles the extra weight of the sprayer tank.

I have since done this several times for a few riders of great weight .

Pumps last long time.Use Rv anti-freeze in system in winter so it dont freeze and break other than that no problem. I purchased the 25 gal tow sprayer so it could be used with mower/atv/small tractor.Plus it gets the chemicals away from your back side. I have toggle switch rigged up to supply power from towing unit can be used for spot or wide area spraying.

Nothing but praise from me for the electric pumps. I have used the same outfit for about 10 years with no maintenance except cleaning the suction screen. The motor on mine pulses when spraying low volume and will run constant if you open up the spray tip. No priming issues like I sometimes had with a roller pump. It will spray Roundup, 2-4-D, insecticide, no problems. Very handy in my opinion.
