Am about to buy electric leaf blower. Still got leave in the back corners. Toro 51591 at home D at about 50 bucks. Any comments? 2 cycle stuff not for me any more. Other choice is Black and Decker from Sears.

The 51591 is an older model. Replaced with the 51592, which I bought for same price--$49.97. The 51591 had great reviews, but i have not checked the 51592. Any way it works great, would blow a cat into next week.

Buy the Toro. They are not the same as a Black and Decker, they are so much better built, they last longer, and if you need parts or support, that is as close as your local Toro.
I would look at a little better model than that one, though, either a 51592 or 51599, they are like 15 and 25 dollars higher, and are a LOT better than the old 51591. that is not even a current Toro model number anymore. Toro has a 2 year over the counter exchange warranty. On Black & decker, you need service, good luck.
Now you not only have my opinion, but my sales pitch as Toro dealer that sells them for a living. :-)

That is about the way it normally goes, that is why I don't stock 'em, just service them. There is 10 times more money in servicing a product than selling it. I made probably 15K working on Lowe's stuff lasr year. I would have to sell 150K worth of equipment to make that kind of NET profit. I don't know what I would sell then for, those prices were MSRP off Toro's web site. But, ya got the BEST electric blower made, hands down.

I have a Toro that I got about 15 years ago and I have been very happy. They used to be the #1 brand of electrics, can't speak for today's ranking. Guy at Lowe's talked me out of B&D when I bought it and it's been a great decision.

You may be able to find consumer comments on line for these.
