I have one of those Clarke Equipment bench top blasting cabinets, that sell for about $100. Haven't figured out a good way to adapt a shop vac to the cabinet, to relieve pressure, inside it, so it blows media out, all over the place. Any quick fixes?

Rear left backside is a fresh air intake. bust it out and stick your shop vac hose inside a couple inches. Then duck tape it in till you make up another system. A shop vac will suck your gloves open for you.

Next thing you do is go to a hardware store and get a few snap latches for screen windows and install them around your glass. When you need to replace the glass you just flip open four latches, install the new glass and then -----VERY GENTLY flip the latches back.

I also got a old sewing machine foot switch that has a male and female 110 volt plug in it. I just step on it and my vac comes on, release and it shuts off.

Another trick is if no sand is coming out just put the nozzle tight into your rubber glove and pull the trigger. The air pressure will be forced down your suction tube and clear it. You will probably want to install a screen over your shelf so you can filter out the rust/ paint chips etc that plugs your gun.

I purchased a very large compressor, and thought more air pressure was good. Not so, read the directions for air pressure settings.

Plex i glass is good, but dust sticks to it more than real glass. I use old glass from discarded windows, sometimes more brital, but cheap.

Attach a pipe or even a piece of wood with hole bored to fit your vaccuum hose snug mounting it on top or top back side. You want to suck the dust out not all the media and yes don't fill it too full. A air intake on top of cabinet on other side from where vaccuum hose is helps too. With really small cabinet you may need to make a air intake stack. It lets the vaccuum do a better job pulling more clean air through cabinet and can use scotchbrite pad or even old sock or cloth for filter on intake.

Go to a part store like Napa and choose an exhaust pipe reducer to fit the shop vac hose and the cabinet hole.Tack-weld it in place.

Does yours have a filter inside the cabinet? You'll need it.

Check the amount of media in the cabinet, mine will throw it out if I overfill it.
