First, you can get "jack oil" at any auto parts store, even my local Home Depot carries it. DON'T use break fluid. As to your jack, it depends on who made it & how much you like it. If it is an American made or good, name brand import like Jet, Norco, Astro, Blackhawk, Lincoln (yes they are made in Taiwan now), you can get parts fairly easily. Figure $12-$17 plus shipping for a full seal & valve kit (if you take it apart, go ahead & replace all the seals, cups, etc.). If you need help finding sources for parts, e-mail me off-line.

If it is a Walmart special or other Chinese no-name jack, use it until it quits, then toss it. And always, ALWAYS, use jack stands.

Whereever you bought your jack should sell hyd jack oil. Even your nearest auto parts store should carry it. Good luck
