I have a 14.4 fire storm drill motor that I really like. Just bought a new battery at the B&D store about 2 months ago and now it wont take the charge. I now have three of these batteries whats the deal. Can they be repaired or is there possibly an internal fuse?

I had the same problem the chargers kept burning out. It was cheaper to buy a new drill and get a new charger and battery than just a charger.
The cheap little black charger with the transformer plug end. After three chargers failed I emailed B&D gave them the whole deal of what was happen. And that I liked the drill but I now had two drills a trim saw four batteries and three junk chargers.
They replied within 48 hours got my address and sent me a new updated charger that could charge different voltages and not over charge at any cost at all. I would contact them an see what they say.

I have both a Firestorm and a Dewalt 14 volt drill. Pretty much same batteries interchange but Dewalt charger has automic shutoff. wonder if Dewalt batteries are better also.

I've taken quite a few different packs apart, and they use low-quality NiCd batteries inside, as a general rule. It's no wonder they don't last.

One thing, you can't leave the battery on the charger 24/7. That'll cook it for sure.
