The original subject was "Bachtold brush mowers I need one".

Hello: Well I have a new Bachtold high weed mower. I bought it 25yrs ago and do not use it any more and being a mechanic I restored it to better than new condition paint and all. It has not been started since restoration. It has a new 10hp Tecumseh motor which has never been started. It has the fingered high weed mower head, a lawn head, and the tiller attachment. The machine is in a shed right now but if you want pictures I can pull it out and make some for you. I have the original 8hp Kohler engine that has been bored to first oversize and is like new. The dealer in Soquel, Ca. said he would put it on consignment for $3500.00 but he takes a 25% commission.
Anyway that is what I would take for it or 3 1oz American eagles or Canadian Maple Leafs.
You can reach me at 707 578-1662 Brent. Santa Rosa, Ca. 95401

Brent,
They sold new for $1800.00 with an 8hp Honda engine. I think you will have a hard time selling it with a Tecumseh engine on it. They sell for 4-600.00 around here, if they are in real nice shape. the last attachments I saw sell were in new shape for less that 100.00 each.
I am not trying to be a SA, just telling what they sell for around here.
Jim
