Who does Stanley think they are trying to fool...I laughed by butt off at Wal-Mart when I saw the name of this new Stanley tool. They call it the FuBar - Functional Utility Bar - and have even trademarked FuBar. That word has been around forever, with a slightly different meaning, but some advertising guy is probably laughing as hard as I was knowing that he named a tool that and got away with it!

Now I bet there are some people around who don't know the REAL meaning of FUBAR but with just a couple wacks on the head with Stanley's FuBar tool and they'll understand.

Anyways, this comes in 32 and 64 ounce sizes, I think I NEED them both. Now just to get the Mrs. to agree that I do!

While I am thinking of it, how about Monkey Butt Powder? If have not already heard of it, just Google it. DOUG

That's a good one. Have you seen the big 18" Channel Lock pliers yet? Their called the "Big AZZ" pliers. Know a lady that worked in a tool store and she was always getting calls asking if they had any of those Big A$$ pliers in stock.

I got a couple of those for Xmas, one of each size. Haven't used them yet. First have to find out what to use them for or on. Maybe use them to fight off bill collectors. LOL

Maybe they will also market the BFH and BFW with the FuBar to repair the Snafu?

Hi CRUSADER,

What does the W in BFW stand for? Wrench? I believe that when I'm using technical terms it's important to be precise, and I can think of a couple of other W words that would work, depending on the particular circumstances.

Thanks, Stan

Yes, the W stands for wrench. When I loaded on the F-111 the BFW was used regularly to secure/loosen the locknuts on the swaybraces for different equipment and munitions.

They used them on Aardvarks too? I thought the BFH was used to hammer on the outboard end of the BFW when you're torquing the "Jesus nut" on a helicopter.

Now if they can just invent a tool to find all the Jesus clips that go flying, Jesus there just went another one. Doesn't seem to matter if you have a toolbox with a bunch of used ones and the plastic storage boxes full of new ones, the one that took off in flight is ALWAYS an odd size. Never seems to happen with the common ones. DOUG

That is the funniest thing I've seen all week. Do you think they will trademark the BFH next?

That's too funny!! You know that would be a good gag gift to somebody like the in laws and such. You know some one is going to get offended over that one.

It is going to be hard for some guys to tell thier 6 year old helper to go get the fubar off the bench.

Dave
