I resurrected this one for a friend of mine. It looks as there should be a cover on the exhaust side. Will run it tomorrow. Used it to today for a few minutes it sounds good and cuts easy. I don't know how old it is, but the only palstic on it are the oil and gas caps, all aluminum.
Guido.

Jim is pretty darn close!! That model was introduced in 1969. It is actually made of die cast magnesium. It's a little over 2 cubic in., so don't push it to hard. That model is manual oil only so don't forget to push the button. This is a popular model with collectors to! Great little saw.

wear leather gloves, no chain catcher , this was the good ole days when they were making the saws as light as possible, thin handle, etc. this was a good saw in its day..

Guido - in their day that was a good saw. I was a tree climber back then and used one topping 100s of trees.

The XL model came out in 1966 - I think the EZ series came out a couple years later 1968 ??
