Anybody have any good ideas or uses for the heavy plastic bale strings used on large square bales?

Cleaning out Bluebird houses, last fall, found
a nest that was made using some plastic bailer
twine. The female Bluebird had got her feet
tangle'ed in it, and couldn't get out, and
starved to death. This was the 3rd nest in that
house last summer, and I thought that they were
done raising young, or I would have checked more
often.
Please pick that stuff up-don't leave it laying
around out in the fields!

I always keep the poly and rope bale strings and just stuff them in an empty feed bag.. Or ball up some and hide ont he tractor.. never know what you may ned to tie up. fence board.. loose hoses that are rattling / rubbing.. tie your 3pt lift arms together when you drop your implement.. emergency repair to the trip string on your trip loader or scoop..

Replace the pull string on your overhead lamp in the barn.. emergency repair to horse tack.. or rope loop to tie up the headstay on the horse tack.... literally hundreds of uses for free piece of 8' poly twine.. tie together a section of downed / split wire fence.. etc..

You'll never use it all this way but I keep a few pieces on the the four wheeler. When ride'n fences and you find an insulator knocked off you can tie wire up with it to get it off the ground and it won't knock your butt off. The next time you check fence, turn fence off and stick an insulator in your pocket and replace. Saves time running to the house just for a place or two and is a good temp fix.

We started rolling it into a ball (inspired by the great "string balls" of the midwest). After 2 weeks, our "string ball" is about the size of a beach ball.
Anyone else got a string ball? How big?

I had a bunch of that stuff, orange in color, strung it between a bunch of steel fence posts, like strands of barb wire. Stayed up several years, kept snowmobilers from entering in that area of the field.

Well if you have a chicken pen you can string it across the top of it to keep hawks and owls out. Thats what I do with it and it does help a lot

First thing that came to mind was to braid it up into some heavier rope and use it to hang all the liars in DC !!!!
