i have a couple made by battery-tender, they are 30-40 dollars each. oem tractor parts has a real nice little one for about 15 dollars. i picked up a few from them, they work well and are inexpensive enough to put one on each tractor. oem tractor parts dot com.

Battery Butler makes 'em in 6 or 12. I've got a 12 on my ATV (800 miles in 8 years, it doesn't get used much...) and I need to get a 6v for my F14.

Just did my montly check on the tractor batteries and the saw mill. The Ford tractor was parked on Dec 3 when we has a 12 inch snowfall. The Ford battery read full charge on the hydrometer, same on the JD that was parked in Oct.The sawmill battery read 3/4 charged so I put the charger on it.The tractor batteries have no corrosion on the cables. Both tractor charge a 5 amps max.If a battery reads full charge after 3 months idle this tells me that float chargers or battery maintainers are not needed.A dollar hydrometer is the only tool needed to maintain batteries.Import battery chargers that sell for 5 dollars are not something plugged in full time on my tractors.Once you have seen flames coming out of the top of a battery charger you will change your mind.Power tool chargers will go up in smoke often.Fellow my son works for had a power tool charger plugged in on his bench in the barn.He never leave any thing plugged in but forgot and left.He had a feeling that he had left the charger plugged in ,went back and found the charger and battery in flames.Threw it out into the snow.My son says they unplug every thing when they leave the job for the day. There is a recall on Kawasaki chargers right now.

The nearby DEERE dealer sells them.

IIRC, Harbor Freight has them, as well.
