Me new Sam's drill is recalled. Made by ALLTRADE. They put you through so much aggravation I am making them send a new charger then I'm taking it back to Sam's. They can put up with as much aggravation as I can

We plugged an outlet strip into our light circuit, and plug all chargers into it. When we leave we turn off the light as well as the chargers.

Beware of all brands of battery chargers for power tools. I know a fellow who left one plugged in at his barn.He left but came back and found flames coming out of the charger.I have cautioned many times on this forum on not leaving auto battery chargers or import battery maintainers unattended.I have seen flames coming out the top of a battery charger.Battery chargers have no protection against shorted diodes, the trans formers wiil take fire.On tool chargers there are many small parts that can burn.

I also discovered a smoking battery charger in the maintenance forman's office after hours. It was for a Motorola two way radio with the radio in the base. I pulled the plug and never mentioned it since I was not supposed to be in that building anyway. I wonder what they thought when it was found the next morning!

Alltrade makes tools under a wide variety of names, including Kawasaki. For the life of me, I'll never figure out how they swung that, since it seems to me they can only cheapen their name putting it on such junk. Most of Princess Auto tools are made by them as well.

Hi superhank,

Good in theory, but every person you deal with is getting paid for the time it takes, and you're not. No one high enough up in the company to actually care about the cost of dealing with you is ever going to know about it.

All the best, Stan
