Penatrating Oil NEEDED

I have found it on the shelf in a few places, white and red can at least.

This one is pretty good, at some point I think they're all snake oils, but in places where you can get it to sink in, it works well, I found an old bronze bell in an old farm dump, turned it up side down and the cast iron piece that makes it ring was encrusted and seized, it freed up, so has many coarse threaded fasteners. I think the price is ok, one can lasts a long time you don't need much, it does seem to wick in without a lot on the floor.

Honestly, one of the best spray can versions I've ever found is the teal green canned Liquid Wrench. That's the one with teflon. It penetrates as well as anything else, but most importantly, it doesn't gall up and jam the threads a quarter turn after breaking free.

I think the term "blue blush" is mostly used in the power industry - it's the HARD carbon deposite left on surfaces (and in threads!) when the carbon bakes out ot the base metal due to extended exposure to high temps.
