What I know about using a multi-meter a pig knows about Sunday.
I would say the CDI is defective, but, at $300.00 each, I would like some expert opinion. Thanks for your past responses and any help here. Tom/Idaho

Multimeters are pretty simple once you get used to them and know what it is that you need to accomplish with one. They'll do plenty, but in general and most often, folks use them to read AC or DC voltages (set to next lowest scale "above" the voltage are expecting to read) and for reading resistance measured in ohms (same as voltage, next scale above what are expecting, or until get reading then multiply by the scale are set to). Many or most can read small currents and a few other things as well.
