There's an auction coming up close to me with 75,000 linear feet of R panel roofing to be auctioned. It is used. It was originally installed on a school buildings but the contractor did a poor job so it always leaked. It was installed maybe 5 years total. Anyway, new R panel around here starts about 1.86 per foot. Any ideas what'd be a good fair price to bid to on this lot. I'm sure hoping they sell it in smaller lots. 75,000 is a BUNCH.....

Thanks.....

It would depend a whole lot on if you have to remove it from the roof, and if it is already down, the care the remover used in taking it off.

I wouldn't give a whole lot more than scrap price for used roofing, unless it was almost perfect. If it was installed wrong the first time and leaked, there will be holes in the wrong spots and it will leak for you. Maybe OK for walls, but a hassle for a roof. Good luck.
