So thanks to you guys for trying to help me get the sparks out of my head...they were completely rusted in...collar was part of the head...I actually got the plugs down to the collar...but couldn't budge them...so I pulled the head....

When I pulled the head...I noticed a small scratch on one of the cyclinder walls...not a scuff but a scratch about 1 cm long parallel to the bore...so I took 10 strokes with 400 grit with oil and it went away...what do you guys think...was this a mistake? Will the compression ring go on me? ferg

Ferg, it'll take more than one tiny scratch for your ford to start drinking oil, run it, enjoy it. John Nebr.
